Citrus Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shots

I've always enjoyed taking wellness shots for an extra boost, and these magical Citrus Ginger Turmeric Wellness Shots are packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties! They also help aid in digestion as well as support a healthy immune system.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup fresh turmeric(about 2 large pieces)
  • 1/3 cup fresh ginger(about 1 large piece)
  • 3 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • 2 cups coconut water
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt(you can omit but it adds essential minerals)

Instructions
 

  • Carefully cut the lemons and oranges in halves, then cut the peels off.
  • Slice the ginger and turmeric into pieces.
  • In a blender, add the lemons, oranges, ginger, turmeric, coconut water, filtered water, honey, and salt.
  • Blend on high for at least 2 minutes or until there are no chunks.
  • Use a fine strainer and pour the juice mixture into a pitcher or large container. You will need to pour the mixture in parts so you can use a large spoon to press as much juice through leaving the pulp.(You can also use a nut milk bag but it will stain the bag and your hands because of the turmeric.)
  • Once the juice has been strained of the pulp, store in a glass jug in the fridge or pour into 12 small 2 oz jars.
  • Enjoy within 2 weeks of making.

Notes

If you have a juicer, you can just use that instead of putting the ingredients in a blender and straining.
