colorfulsuperfoodie
Chocolate and raspberries are my JAM! Seriously though these Raspberry Chia Jam filled Chocolate Hearts are SO good! They are made with only 4 simple ingredients and they taste even better than store bought chocolates in my opinion. Not to mention that they are dairy and refined sugar free! You can't go wrong with these cute little treats. Definitely make a batch for Valentine's Day to share!

Equipment

  • Silicone small heart molds

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Freeze dried raspberries(optional)

Instructions

  • In a small sauce pan on the stove over medium heat, add the raspberries, maple syrup, chia seeds, and filtered water.
  • When the jam mixture starts to bubble, turn the heat down to low medium and let it summer for about 10 minutes to thicken while stirring often.
  • Take the raspberry chia jam off the stove and let it cool down for a few minutes.
  • Using a sandwich bag with a corner cut off, pour the jam in and squeeze into small silicone heart molds. Place molds in the freezer for 30 mins.
  • Melt your chocolate and then take the heart mold out of the freezer. Take the jam out of the molds and dip each heart in the chocolate coating evenly.
  • Place the hearts on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. One the chocolate solidifies, drizzle more chocolate on top of the hearts and sprinkle some freeze dried raspberries(optional.)
  • Store in the fridge and enjoy!
