colorfulsuperfoodie
This matcha recipe is perfect for springtime and tastes delightful. I love my morning matcha ritual, and this recipe has been a fun way to mix things up! I love when strawberries are in season, and I enjoy making this delicious strawberry rose cold foam to pour over the matcha. It's high in antioxidants, low in sugar, and full of fun flavors! I highly recommend giving this strawberry rose iced matcha latte a try!

Equipment

  • Small blender

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 1/3 cup hot water(Make sure the water isn't at boiling point. Optional temperature is 160-170 degrees)
  • 1 cup creamy cashew or almond milk
  • 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp freeze dried strawberry powder
  • 1/4 tsp rose powder
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 cup Ice
  • 1/3 cup strawberry jam(or mashed strawberies)
  • Edible rose petals(optional)

Instructions

  • Add the matcha to a bowl(I like to sift it so it's s easier to mix with the water.) Pour over the hot water and use either a bamboo whisk or hand frother to mix the matcha.
  • Add 2 tsp honey and whisk a bit more then set aside.
  • In a small pitcher, add in the coconut milk, 1/2 cup of the almond milk, strawberry powder, and rose powder. Blend until everything is well mixed and there are no lumps. Set the milk mixture aside.
  • In a glass, add the strawberry jam or mashed strawberries then pour the ice over top.
  • Add the strawberry rose milk and then pour the matcha over top.
  • Top with edible rose petals if desired and enjoy!
