Immune Boosting Berry Smoothie Bowl

This immune boosting berry smoothie bowl a great to make during during the hot to cold transitional season. It is loaded with immune supporting superfoods like elderberry syrup, berries, and pomegranate seeds. If you’re looking to give a little extra love and care to your immune system, this smoothie is what you need!

What you will need

Elderberry Syrup – You can enjoy elderberry all year round to support the immune system! I love using the syrup and it goes so well in smoothies!

Berries – I used a combination of blueberries and raspberries in this recipe, but you can use blackberries and strawberries as well if you’d like.

Purple Sweet Potato – I love adding frozen steamed potato to my smoothies because of the creamy texture it gives them. Purple sweet potatoes are also high in antioxidants like anthocyanins which support the immune system!

Zucchini – As you might know by now, I love getting my daily servings of veggies in! I like sneaking steamed then frozen zucchini in my smoothies to bulk them up and adding more nutrition. Zucchini is rich in B6, folate, potassium, lutein, and zeaxanthin.

Avocado – I love adding avocado in my smoothies for a healthy fat to make them more balanced.

Nut Milk – I use coconut r almond milk but you can use any other alternative milk that you like.

Protein Powder – It is so important to get protein in at every meal. Protein is an important building block for bones, muscles, cartilage, and skin. Our bodies break down proteins into amino acids that have many functions in the body. I know it can be hard for some people to digest protein, and that is why I like protein smoothies because everything is blended up for easier digestion!
