Iced Watermelon Matcha
Matcha is definitely my go to drink when it comes to getting a boost but without all the caffeine jitters! This Iced watermelon matcha is so refreshing during the summer time and the flavors pair so well together! It also looks absolutely stunning and will brighten your day for sure!

What you will need
Watermelon Water – You can either make fresh watermelon water or use store bought.
Matcha Powder – I use a premium grade matcha by the brand Matcha Nude.
Hot Water –
Honey – This is my preferred sweetener for the matcha but you can also use monk fruit drops or maple syrup.
Ice – You will need at least a cup of ice, I prefer to use small ice cube pieces which will help with the ombre affect.
Frozen Watermelon – We will be using a few cubes of frozen watermelon that we will shave on top of the iced matcha latte.
How to make watermelon water

It’s really easy to make fresh watermelon water at home! You can either make it in your juicer or you can add fresh watermelon cubes to a blender and blend until there are no chunks. Then use a strainer to strain all the pulp and store in a glass jug! This will taste best when enjoyed within 5 days.
How to make the iced watermelon matcha
First, add your matcha powder to a bowl aiming with the hot water and honey. Use a matcha whisk or electric hand frother to froth up the matcha mixture making sure there are nu clumps. If you want to elevate your matcha a little, add a scoop of collagen peptides for more protein and hair, skin, and nail support!

Next in a glass, add the ice and the pour in the watermelon water about 2/3 of the way. Then slowly pour the matcha on top to get a cool layered effect. The key really is to pour it right after you froth it so the matcha is more airy.

Lastly, use a grater or micro plane to shave the frozen watermelon on top of the matcha and enjoy!
