Heart Shaped Pizza(Gf-Df)

These heart shaped pizzas(Gluten Free-Paleo) are so cute and fun to make! They are definitely the perfect thing to make to show your love this Valentine’s Day because pizza is a love language right? Making these heart pizzas would also be a fun activity to do with your kiddos! The possibilities are endless when it comes to toppings, and you can customize each one.

What you will need

Pizza Crust Mix – I love the grain free paleo pizza crust by the brand Simple Mills. You can use any pizza crust of your choice though!

Pizza Sauce – This ingredient is of course a must for a good pizza!

Dairy Free Mozzarella – Make sure to get a solid piece of mozzarella and not the shreds! You will need it in this form to make heart shaped cut outs. My favorite brand is Miyokos.

Pepperoni Slices – I prefer turkey pepperoni but you can use pork as well. You can find healthier options that don’t contain nitrates or added hormones at your local health food store! Applegate is a great brand or Niman Ranch. Make sure to get large pepperoni slices for making heart cut outs!

Black Olives – I love olives on my pizza but this is totally optional.

Fresh Basil – This herb not only adds an amazing flavor to the pizza, but also provides health benefits such as supporting health blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

How to make the heart shaped pizza

First Preheat your over to 400 degrees. Make your pizza crust mix according to the directions. Divide the pizza dough into 2-4 balls. Form the pizza dough balls into heart shapes. Place the pizza crusts in a pizza stone or parchment paper lined baking pan. Bake the crusts for 8 mins.

While the pizza crusts are baking, take the pepperoni slices and use a heart cut out to make them into heart shapes. When the crusts are done baking, top them with the pizza sauce, some dairy free mozzarella, and the pepperoni hearts. Bake the pizzas for an additional 8-10 minutes.

Once the pizzas are done baking, let them cool down for a few minutes and then add some fresh basil on top if desired then enjoy.
