Maple Candied Pecans

If there’s one way to make your house smell amazing during the fall seasons and holidays, it is to throw some candied pecans in your oven! There’s just something so special about roasted pecans with a sweet rich maple syrup and cinnamon spices. I love making these maple candies pecans because they can be enjoyed in so many ways! You can add them to salads, top deserts with them, just snack on them, or even make some to give as a gift. This recipe requires little effort, and you will be so happy you made them.

What you will need

Pecans – This nut is a must around the holidays! Not only does it go well with so many recipes, but it is also rich in nutrients! Pecans are a good source of fiber, zinc, copper, and thiamine.

Maple Syrup – This is what we will use to sweeten the pecans with. The maple flavor pairs amazingly with the nutty flavor of the pecans! Maple syrup is one of my favorite refined sugar free sweeteners!

Vanilla Extract This adds such a delightful flavor to the candied pecans.

Avocado Oil This is a great healthier cooking oil option that does well in higher temperatures.

Salt – I like to add a touch of salt in this recipe to balanced out the sweetness.

How to make the maple candied pecans

First, Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, mix together the pecans, maple syrup, avocado or olive oil, vanilla extract, and salt. Pour the pecans onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and spread out evenly. Place the pecans in the oven and bake for about 13-15 minutes stirring them around every 4 minutes. Then, take the pecans out of the oven and let them cool down completely.(They will harden more as they cool.) Store in an air tight container and enjoy!

You can also make a couple batches of the maple candies pecans to give as gifts. You can add them to some mason jars and then tie a cute bow and add a label for a special homemade touch.
