Watermelon Fries with a Honey Lime Yogurt Dip

If you’ve never enjoyed watermelon like this before, then you’re in for a real treat! How adorable are these fry shaped watermelon pieces?? Investing in a wavy crinkle cutter was definitely a great idea! The honey lime yogurt dip also pairs so well with these watermelon fries because it is sweet, zesty, and creamy. This is something the whole family can enjoy, and I highly recommend you try this recipe out!

If there’s one thing I look forward to during the summertime it’s watermelon! There’s just something so nostalgic about biting into a big juicy slice and the sweet juices dripping down on your face!

I love how hydrating watermelon is and it’s sweet flavor is wonderful if you pick the right one. Making these watermelon fries is such a fun way to mix it up and is a treat everyone will enjoy especially if you have kids.

What you will need

Watermelon – I use a seedless watermelon for this recipe which makes it easier! Watermelon is a great source of antioxidants and supports hydration.

Plain Dairy Free Yogurt – My favorite brand to use it Culina.

Limes – I love making a yogurt dip with a citrus zest flavor, and it really does go well with the watermelon!

Honey – You can use your local raw honey from a health food store which is the best quality! Not all honey on the market is pure so be sure to select a good one.

Wavy Crinkle Cutter – This is optional but I think it’s a fun tool to use for making any kind of fries!

How to make the watermelon fries and honey lime yogurt dip

First, take your watermelon and carefully it in half and then into 1 inch thick slices. Cut the rind part off, making a square shape, and then continue to cut the watermelon into fry shapes using the wavy crinkle cutter.(You can just cut them without it too).

Next, in a bowl, mix together the yogurt, lime juice, and honey. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Add the zest on top of the yogurt dip for extra flavor and a pretty garnish.

Place the fries and yogurt dip on a serving platter or board. Enjoy with friends and family on a hot summer day. This can also be a fun treat for your kids!
